Your Deep Water Cay journey is a relaxing escape from everyday life. And with air service to Freeport from many Eastern U.S. cities, as well as a private landing strip and customs clearance right on the cay, getting here is just as stress-free.
Many major airline hubs in the U.S. offer direct commercial flights to Grand Bahama International Airport in Freeport, including Philadelphia, DC, Atlanta, Charlotte and Chicago. If you need even more options, there are connecting flights out of Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach.
After touchdown in Freeport, kick back and let us handle the rest: we’ll arrange for a driver to take you to McLean’s Town where our team will be waiting to pilot you by private water taxi to Deep Water Cay, only minutes away.
Deep Water Cay can even arrange private air transportation to the island for you. Our Ft. Lauderdale-based concierge and an air charter service will handle all the preparations for your group’s direct flight.
For additional information on private aircraft concierge and arrival, contact us at (954) 359-9100.
Deep Water Cay maintains a private, 4,000-foot paved airstrip, along with the ability to have guests clear Bahamian Customs and Immigration right on the island, making it easy for those arriving by private aircraft. We can accommodate 6-8 planes for overnight stays with chocks provided.
The most traditional and perhaps Bahamian way to arrive at Deep Water Cay is by boat. We recommend approaching from the south by way of the Northwest Providence Channel. Deep Water Cay can accommodate boats and yachts up to 65 feet long, and electrical and water hookups are standing by.
Clearing on-island is easy, yet subject to prearrangement and availability. Guests are responsible for all associated fees, including overtime charges incurred.
