Spring 08 Update

We'd like to extend a warm welcome to our newest members, Carlos and Claire Musso of Miami, FL. They are long-time regular guests and we are glad to have them as part of the crew.

Also, congratulations to Greg Abramson for hooking his first wahoo (and second and third) during their annual Valentine's Day trip. A 70+ lb. whopper sure did the trick and fed the club for more than a few nights! Thanks for the contribution.

We'll keep you posted on any new developments and we hope to have all of you here soon for the high fishing season. Let the spawning begin!

See you at cocktails!

Member Guest 2007 Results

The 3rd annual Member Guest Tournament was a huge success, with a great time had by all. Cool gift bags and the hope of winning a metal bonefish sculpture provided great motivation to the anglers. Taking home the Grand Champion Team honors were Lane Faison and Richard Turcotte. Lane also walked away with the Day1 top fly angler award and the Overall Fly Angler Award. Nice going! The Day 1 top spin angler honors went to Craig Beatty, Charles McPherson's teammate, who hooked a permit for bonus points. Day 2's top spin angler went to Rich McDaniel, Neil Sullivan's partner. Day 2 top fly angler was member Greg Abramson. Congratulations everyone! Hope ya'll had a blast cause we sure did. (NOTE: Incorrect '08 dates posted previously.) Next year's dates are October 17-19. We already have bookings for the weekend of the Conch Cracking Festival. Call reservations to book your boats now! The trophies and gift bags will keep getting better...

See you at cocktails!

...And we're off!

So begins a new season here at Deep Water Cay. The 2007-2008 year is looking to be better than ever, if recent fishing is any indication (see fishing report below). Happy Birthday to Geoff Jones, who celebrated with his buddies here Labor Day weekend. They had a big time, with big fish and big stories to tell. Welcome to the Parker family of Mt. Pleasant, SC, first-time visitors and hopefully regulars (take that Chub Cay!)

We hope everyone is as excited as we are about starting another season and we look forward to seeing all of you down here soon!

See you at cocktails...
